service marks the availability of two train routes between Gorakhpur and Kathgodam. Previously, only one train, originating from Kolkata, served this route, often being fully booked, making it challenging for Gorakhpur passengers to secure berths. The NER's ability to control the timing of trains on this route is facilitated by the newly opened Pilibhit-Shahgarh route, as the Northern Railway had previously denied path access due to route congestion. The special train service will operate on Thursdays and Saturdays until June 27th and June 29th respectively. Train number 05060 departs Lalkuan at 2:00 PM and arrives in Gorakhpur at 2:15 AM, then departs Gorakhpur at 9:30 PM to arrive in Howrah. Train number 05059 departs Howrah at 11:30 PM and arrives in Gorakhpur at 10:00 PM the next day, and then departs Gorakhpur at 1:55 PM to reach Lalkuan the next day.

Howrah ko Gorakhpur se hota hua Lalkuan se jodti hui. Ye naya service Gorakhpur aur Kathgodam ke beech do train routes available karne ka matlab hai. Pehle, sirf ek train, jo ki Kolkata se aati thi, is route pe chalti thi, aur woh aksar fully booked rehti thi, Gorakhpur ke passengers ke liye berth secure karna muskil kar deti thi. NER ko is route pe trains ka timing control karne ki ability, naye khule Pilibhit-Shahgarh route se mili hai, kyunki pehle Northern Railway ne route congestion ki wajah se path access deny kiya tha. Ye special train service 27 June tak har Thursday aur Saturday ko chalegi aur 29 June tak chalegi. Train number 05060 Lalkuan se 2:00 PM pe chalti hai aur 2:15 AM pe Gorakhpur pahunchti hai, phir 9:30 PM pe Gorakhpur se chalti hai aur Howrah pahunchti hai. Train number 05059 Howrah se 11:30 PM pe chalti hai aur next day 10:00 PM pe Gorakhpur pahunchti hai, phir Gorakhpur se 1:55 PM pe chalti hai aur next day Lalkuan pahunchti hai.
