The villagers are now forced to take alternate routes to reach the market from their villages. The local Mukhiya (headman) has condemned the railway administration's actions, highlighting the inconvenience caused to over 5,000 residents of Odahara and people from other villages who use the road. The villagers have also expressed concerns about the disruption to the school commute of children from the affected villages. They have threatened to protest if the road is not reopened during daylight hours and have previously informed the railway administration and local representatives about the issue.
