to summer vacations, Lok Sabha elections, and weekend rush, South Central Railway (SCR) introduced over 60 additional special trains between the Telugu states from May 9th to 15th. These special trains, which ran to various destinations including Kakinada, Visakhapatnam, Narsapur, Vijayawada, Nagersol, Machilipatnam, Khurda Road, Berhampur, Sambalpur, Cuttack, Bengaluru, Danapur, Gorakhpur, Agartala, Udaipur, Santragachi, Kollam, Jaipur, and Rajkot, recorded over 100% occupancy.
