The acquisition of passenger buses for election-related activities will result in the suspension of passenger bus operations from May 22nd to May 25th. A vehicle pool has been established at Jamshedpur Cooperative College and LBSM College for the Lok Sabha elections in Jamshedpur. The nodal officer for the vehicle pool, District Transport Officer Dhananjay Kumar, stated that all vehicles will be collected at Cooperative College. Vehicles will be issued a receipt upon entry at the main gate of the college. Subsequently, drivers will receive a logbook from the vehicle pool window. Upon opening the logbook, drivers will receive the vehicle fare in advance. Vehicle owners must submit documents related to their name, account number, bank name, branch name, and IFSC code to the vehicle pool for fare payment. Some vehicles will be transferred from Cooperative College to LBSM College for election-related activities. Jamshedpur requires 659 vehicles for the elections. The fare will be paid at an increased rate of 30%.
