more... The Hyderabad-based company KPC Infra has been instructed to accelerate the work. To facilitate the shifting of railway offices, two multi-story buildings have been constructed near platforms 1 and 4, which will be ready by the end of May. The offices will be moved to these buildings in June, allowing for demolition work to begin. The current work involves cutting the existing roof to replace it with a pre-fabricated steel roof. The foundations for the new roof are already complete, and the fabrication of the roof itself is underway in Delhi. The project commenced in December 2022, and the initial completion deadline was 24 months. Despite the three-month extension, it seems unlikely that the project will be completed on time. Deputy Chief Engineer of North Central Railway, Akash Yadav, stated that they aim to finish the building work by March 2025. However, the construction of the station building is the priority, and other tasks like installation of lifts, escalators, and beautification of the circulating area might take longer. The project includes the construction of two new platforms, increasing the total number of platforms to six. This requires the relocation of the reservation office, circulating area, and GRP station from platform 4 to accommodate the new platforms. The laying of tracks on the new platforms will also necessitate testing, potentially leading to a further extension of the project deadline.

December 2022 me project start hua tha, aur 24 mahine me khatam hona tha. 3 mahine ka extension ho chuka hai, par phir bhi time pe khatam hona mushkil lag raha hai. North Central Railway ke Deputy Chief Engineer Akash Yadav ne bataya ki March 2025 tak building ka kaam khatam karne ka target hai. March tak sirf building ka kaam khatam hoga, baaki kaam baad me honge, lekin woh bhi mushkil hai. Station me zyada tar construction pre-fabricated hai, jisme technical testing bahut zaroori hai. Jaise 21 lifts aur 19 escalators lagne hain. Inhe install karne ke baad unka trial karne me bhi time lagega. Circulating area ko behtar banane aur parking ka kaam bhi karna hai, jisme bhi mahino lag jaayenge. Project me 2 new platforms bhi banaye jaa rahe hain, jisse platforms ki sankhya 6 ho jaayegi. Iske liye platform 4 ke paas reservation office, circulating area aur GRP station ko hataana padega. Platforms ready hone ke baad tracks bhi bhichane honge, jisko testing ki bhi zarurat hai. Is wajah se project ki deadline phir se badhaani pad sakti hai.
