three years. The police tracked him down by monitoring his bank transactions and discovered that he had defrauded over 50 people of crores of rupees. On April 16th, the Railway Vigilance Team exposed the gang after they were found to be running a fake job racket at Birbans station. Three victims - Dhivin Kumar (Tamil Nadu), Rupam Shah (West Bengal), and Shubhashish Mandal (West Bengal) - had been lured with promises of jobs as booking clerks at Birbans station and charged 21 lakhs for training. The victims were initially trained at Gamharia and then transferred to Birbans under false pretenses. The Railway Police are currently investigating other individuals involved in the scam.
