Meanwhile, the Agra railway division is addressing the shortage of ticket checking staff by assigning other railway personnel to handle ticket checking duties. The division has already deployed 33 personnel from various departments like reservations, inquiries, parcels, and bookings, with an additional 50 expected to join soon. This move comes in response to numerous complaints about the lack of ticket checking staff on trains passing through Agra.
The delay in train operations due to track maintenance work has also caused inconvenience to passengers, with trains experiencing delays of up to 21 hours on Wednesday. The delays are attributed to the ongoing track maintenance work, which is necessary before the monsoon season. The scorching heat has hampered the completion of the work, leading to the persistent disruption of train services.
