The police obtained the names and mobile numbers of Arun and Shantanu from statements given by Anshuman Prasad and his sister-in-law, Sumitra Kumari, who were arrested in Dhanbad and Ranchi. However, the mobile numbers of Arun and Shantanu have been switched off since Anshuman's arrest. Earlier, on April 16th, a Railway Vigilance team had busted a fake job racket at Birbans Station in the Chakradharpur division. Three youths and an agent were apprehended and handed over to the Chandil Railway Police Station where a case was filed. Subsequently, Anshuman Prasad and Sumitra Kumari were arrested and sent to jail. A petition for their remand was submitted to the court for further investigation. The young men were released after recording their statements.
