more... and approve the start of operations. The initial deadline for the service's launch was March 31, but it was extended due to the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Once operational, the underground service will complete Phase 1 of the Pune Metro project, connecting PCMC to Swargate and Vanaz to Ramwadi. The route between Vanaz and Ramwadi is already operational, while the PCMC to Civil Court route is partially operational, excluding the underground stretch. Pune Metro has started work on extending the route from PCMC to Nigdi as part of Phase 1. The extension from Swargate to Katraj is still awaiting approval from the Centre. The proposal for Phase II of the Pune Metro has been submitted to the Maharashtra government for approval and will be forwarded to the Centre upon approval.

Pune Metro ne Phase 1 ke hisse ke roop mein PCMC se Nigdi tak route extend karne ka kaam shuru kar diya hai. Swargate se Katraj tak ka extension abhi Centre se approval ka intezaar kar raha hai. Pune Metro ke Phase II ka proposal Maharashtra government ko approval ke liye submit kiya gaya hai aur approval ke baad Centre ko forward kiya jayega.
