Naya proposal hai ki Khajrana aur Bengali Square ke beech elevated section ko underground kar diya jaaye, jisse construction time three se five saal ho jaayega, lekin cost 543 crore se badhkar 1200 crore rupees ho jaayegi. Is change se MG Road par traffic jam kam hoga aur existing alignment use kiya jaayega. Underground section ke liye 'cut and cover' tunnel banane ki baat ho rahi hai, jisse Kanadia area mein building todhne ki jarurat nahi padegi. Urban Administration Minister ne feasibility aur impact check karne ke liye ek maah ka survey karne ka order diya hai. Is change se construction time aur cost kam hoga aur traffic disruptions aur property demolition ki problem bhi kam hogi.
