The Modi government has been actively working on 'Mission Raftaar' since its second term. This project aims to increase the maximum speed of passenger trains on the Delhi-Howrah and Delhi-Mumbai routes to 160 km/h. The installation of Kavach, an indigenous Train Collision Avoidance System, is also being implemented rapidly.
