The project, spanning 11.56 kilometers, is estimated to cost INR 2254.35 crore and will be funded by the Noida Authority. The new line is expected to provide significant convenience for residents of Greater Noida and surrounding areas, offering easy access to various parts of the Delhi-NCR region. The project was delayed due to the implementation of the Model Code of Conduct during the Lok Sabha elections, but work has resumed after the code expired. The line will run alongside the Expressway Service Road and will include nine new stations. This will greatly improve connectivity between Greater Noida and the Botanical Garden, making travel easier for commuters.
