The Jogeshwari terminus will serve long-distance trains from the northwest and north and will include a cargo shed and repair facility for Vande Bharat trains. The terminus will be accessible via the Western Express Highway and will be served by suburban and metro lines, including Line 6 and Line 7. Twelve trains will be relocated from Mumbai Central and Bandra terminus to Jogeshwari. The terminus will feature an island platform to manage two trains at once. Currently, Mumbai has six railway terminuses.
