While the exact reason for the coach detachment is still under investigation, railway officials have stated that departmental action will be taken if negligence is confirmed. Additionally, the Ernakulam-Tatanagar Express has been diverted through an alternative route starting June 28th. The Tatanagar-Bengaluru and Yashvantpur Weekly Express trains have also been diverted since June 30th.
