Rs. 1,557 crore, the Centre providing Rs. 537 crore, and the Delhi Metro contributing Rs. 400 crore. This section includes nine elevated stations along the Delhi-Mathura Road (NH-2): Sarai, NHPC Chowk, Mewala Maharajpur, Sector 28, Badkal Mor, Old Faridabad, Neelam Chowk Ajronda, Bata Chowk, and Escorts Mujesar. The 95% indigenously built corridor offers a safe, affordable, quick, comfortable, reliable, environmentally friendly, and sustainable mode of transport. Haryana Chief Minister ML Khattar expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister for the Metro service, which he believes will elevate the city's progress and enhance connectivity with other NCR towns. He also announced the Prime Minister's approval for connecting Gurgaon to Faridabad via Metro. Meanwhile, on July 1, Ceigall India successfully completed the drilling and concreting of the first pile for Kanpur Metro's 8.38 km Line 2, commencing work within Package KNPCC-12. This package encompasses a 4.3 km stretch, comprising two elevated sections, situated on either side of the underground Package KNPCC-11. Ceigall India will be drilling about 750 piles for the viaduct and station substructure construction. The southern segment of KNPCC-12's viaduct, spanning 3.745 km, will link Double Pullia Ramp to Barra-8, featuring four elevated stations: Vijay Nagar Chauraha, Shastri Chowk, Barra-7 Station, and Barra-8. On the northern end, a 557.8m viaduct is planned beyond Rawatpur Interchange Station, with a single elevated station at Agriculture University, adjacent to Line-2's Agriculture University Depot. The scope of work includes designing and constructing the elevated viaduct and five elevated stations, along with architectural finishing, E&M work, and special spans from the Double Pullia Station ramp to Barra-8 Station and from the Depot ramp to Agriculture University Station. The tender for Package KNPCC-12 was floated in November 2023 at Rs. 484 crore, with a 30-month deadline. SYSTRA MVA Consulting (India) served as the Detailed Design Consultants, and Ceigall India was awarded the contract in March 2024 at Rs. 427.11 crore.
