The new train route will pass through Bengaluru. Additionally, the General Manager of South Western Railway has proposed doubling the track between Biruru and Shivamogga at a cost of ₹1,258 crore. Regarding the widening of the Bengaluru-Honnavar road, the MP highlighted delays due to land acquisition issues at 37 points along the highway. He has brought this matter to the attention of Union Minister for Road Transport, Nitin Gadkari, who has spoken to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. A state government committee has been formed to address this issue. The MP also met with the Minister for Environment, Forest, and Climate Change to seek clearance for the lease of forest land to the Mysore Paper Mills. A previous lease of 20,000 hectares was renewed during the BJP tenure but faced objections from the Indian government. The MP has requested the Minister to clear the licence. Finally, the Ministry of Road Transport has allocated ₹403 crore for the widening of the Agumbe Ghat stretch of NH 169A and has invited tenders for a detailed project report on a two-lane tunnel road at Agumbe Ghat.

Unhone ye issue Union Minister for Road Transport, Nitin Gadkari ke samne rakha hai, jinhone Chief Minister Siddaramaiah se baat ki hai.
