the zonal general secretary of the All India Loco Running Staff Association, Eastern Central Railway, had presented a list of issues to Gandhi, including the restoration of the Old Pension Scheme, prevention of privatization, filling vacancies and improving recruitment processes, weekly rest, night duty limitations, out-station work, sanitation facilities in cabs, air-conditioned loco cabs, working hours, and more. Gandhi assured them of positive action and raising these matters in Parliament. Upon his return to Patratu, Singh was greeted with flowers, slogans, and cheers from his colleagues.
