Worker goes missing while cleaning Pazhavangadi canal in TVM; search launched

On Saturday, a worker named Joy went missing while cleaning the Pazhavangadi canal in Thiruvananthapuram. Joy, a resident of Anamugham, disappeared while cleaning the canal near the Central Railway station. It is suspected that he got stuck in a garbage pile. The canal is known to be clogged with waste, particularly plastic, and was recently identified as a major contributor to flooding in the area. The incident occurred opposite the Indian Coffee House near the parcel office. Railway authorities had been ordered to clean the canal, and Joy was one of the workers employed by the contractor assigned by the Railways for this task.

rahi hai, jisme scuba divers bhi lagaaye gaye hain. Canal waste se bhara hua hai, khaas kar plastic se, aur isko recently area mein flood ka main reason bhi bataya gaya hai. Incident Indian Coffee House ke opposite parcel office ke paas hua. Railway authorities ko canal saaf karne ka order diya gaya tha, aur Joy is contractor ke liye kaam karne wala ek worker tha, jisko Railways ne assign kiya tha.
