the up and down lines on the final underground stretch of Corridor-1 will proceed simultaneously. The 'Azad' TBM has already completed its initial drive on the 2.40 km long stretch on the up-line. Now, after connecting to the backup system unit, its main drive has started. The use of loco pilots has also been started to bring out the excavated soil from the under-construction tunnel. There are a total of 7 underground stations in the approximately 8.20 km long underground section under Corridor-1: Chunni Ganj, Naveen Market, Bada Chauraha, Nayaganj, Kanpur Central, Jhakarkati, and Transport Nagar. After the completion of the tunnel construction process from the ramp area in Makrobertganj to Kanpur Central, now tunnel construction is being done in the approximately 2.40 km long underground stretch from Central Station to the ramp area near Swadeshi Cotton Mill. The Jhakarkati and Transport Nagar stations are also located in this stretch. The TBM launched from Swadeshi Cotton Mill will pass through these two stations and reach Central, thus completing the tunnel construction work of Corridor-1.

aakhri underground stretch pe up aur down line banane ki process saath-saath aage badhegi. 2.40 km lamba stretch pe up-line pe 'Azad' TBM apna initial drive pehle hi pura kar chuki hai. Ab backup system unit se jude ke baad iska main drive shuru ho gaya hai. Banate hue tunnel me mitti bahar lane ke liye loco pilot ka prayog bhi shuru kar diya gaya hai. Corridor-1 ke andar 8.20 km lamba underground section me Chunni Ganj, Naveen Market, Bada Chauraha, Nayaganj, Kanpur Central, Jhakarkati aur Transport Nagar, total 7 underground stations hain. Makrobertganj me raamp area se Kanpur Central tak tunnel banane ki process puri ho jaane ke baad, ab Central Station se Swadeshi Cotton Mill ke paas raamp area tak 2.40 km lamba underground stretch me tunnel ka nirman kiya ja raha hai. Issi stretch me Jhakarkati aur Transport Nagar station bhi padte hain. Swadeshi Cotton Mill se launch ki gayi TBM in dono station se hote hue Central tak pahunchengi. Iske saath hi Corridor-1 ke tunnel banne ka kaam pura ho jaayega.
