anticipated surge in passenger traffic during the festive season. The railway minister, Ashwini Vaishnaw, shared this information on social media, highlighting the increase in special train operations compared to the previous year (2023-24) when 4,480 trains were operated. The special trains are expected to make over 6,000 trips during the two-month period. Kaushik Mitra, Chief Public Relations Officer of Eastern Railway, stated that the increase in the number of special trains aims to manage the large influx of passengers traveling to Bihar during these festivals, ensuring a comfortable journey.
