Line, stretching 37 km with 25 stations, first introduced driverless operations in December 2020. The Pink Line followed suit in November 2021. The new system enhances passenger comfort by removing driver cabins, increasing standing capacity, and introducing advanced surveillance. The DMRC plans to procure 312 coaches for driverless operations in Phase IV, aiming to establish a smarter and safer public transportation system.
