The blast led to the halting of the Howrah Superfast and Sambleshwari Express trains at Manoharpur, with police on high alert and all stations and security forces in alert mode. Naxalites (CPI Maoist) are observing their 'resistance week' from December 16th to 22nd, during which they usually plan major events. They have also called for a 'Bharat Bandh' on December 22nd, through posters.

Pehle, Naxalites ne Deranwa station ke paas up line par banner laga rakha tha, jo train engine mein phans gaya. Blast ke baad, Manoharpur mein Howrah Superfast aur Sambleshwari Express trains rok diye gaye. Police high alert pe hai aur sab stations aur security forces ko alert mode mein rakha gaya hai. Naxalites (CPI Maoist) 16 December se 22 December tak 'resistance week' mana rahe hain. Is duration mein, woh usually bada event karte hain. Unhone December 22nd ko 'Bharat Bandh' bhi posters ke through announce kiya hai.
