He argued that pension reduces their income by half, making the concession crucial. Similarly, retired railway employee S.K. Singh expressed disappointment, stating that the budget did not meet the expectations of the public, particularly senior citizens.

sewa-nivrith shikshak N.P. Tyagi ne kaha ki March 2020 tak varishth nagarikon ko rail kiraye mein chhoot milti thi, lekin uske baad yeh band kar di gayi. Naukri puri hone ke baad jab pension milti hai toh hamari aay aadhi ho jati hai. Aise mein government ko is bare mein ek baar fir se vichar karte hue rail kiraye mein chhoot di jaani chahiye. Issi tarah se sewa-nivrith railkarmi S.K. Singh ne kaha ki aaj ka budget janta ki aakaanshaon, vishesh kar senior citizen ke anuroop nahin raha.
