Piling works for the new air concourse have also commenced and are nearing completion. This air concourse will feature amenities comparable to airports, including two terminals connected by a 36-meter wide structure, connecting all platforms, four escalators, four lifts, dedicated entry/exit points, a food court, ATMs, and shopping malls. The second terminal, located on the north side, will house ticket counters, booking offices, baggage scanners, computer-based energy X-ray machines, and multi-energy X-ray machines. An elevated trolley path for parcel service is also being built. A multi-level car parking facility (MLCP) is also under construction near the main road, with completion expected in May. The five-level facility will offer parking for 239 bikes and 150 cars. It will have two lifts and will provide a permanent solution to parking issues. The completed facilities include the gang room, the Senior Section Engineer's office building, and a parking area near the SMP market that can accommodate 65 cars and 610 bikes. The total project cost is ₹361.18 crores, the contract was awarded in 2022 to Railways Infrastructure Technical Engineering (RITES) and Bangalore-based Siddhartha Civil Works Private Limited. The project is expected to be completed by January 21, 2026, and could be completed by November 2025. The overall development plan is targeted for completion in 2041.
