2022 by the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA). The second phase was commissioned in January 2023, making the ‘Dahisar – Andheri West Metro 2A’ and ‘Dahisar – Gundavali Metro 7’ lines operational. Initially, the daily ridership was in the thousands, but it gradually increased to lakhs. Earlier, around 230,000 passengers used these lines every day, but now the daily ridership has increased to 260,471, as per the Mumbai Metro One Corporation Limited (MMMOCL). Meanwhile, the total ridership on these two lines has reached 10 crore in the past week.
