The dream of a train reaching the Kashmir Valley is now on the verge of becoming a reality. On Sunday, the first train ran a trial run between Sangaldan and Reasi, marking a significant milestone. height of 359 meters, even surpassing the Eiffel Tower by 35 meters. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to visit Srinagar on June 21st, the occasion of International Yoga Day. The railway ministry has achieved this success just before his visit. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw confirmed the successful trial run on social media, highlighting the completion of most works under the USBRL project, with only a small portion of Tunnel No. 1 remaining. The 272 km long Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Link (USBRL) project has seen the commissioning of 209 km, with train services already operational between Kanyakumari to Katra and Baramula to Sangaldan. The 48.1 km section from Banihal to Sangaldan was inaugurated by PM Modi on February 20th. The project is crucial due to the presence of the Chenab Rail Bridge, the world's highest railway bridge, along this route. The 1.3 km long steel arch bridge is expected to see operational trains by June 30th, following successful electric engine trials. The entire project is projected to be completed by the end of this year, with BJP minister Jitendra Singh confirming the imminent commencement of rail services on the bridge.

Modi 21 June ko Srinagar jaane wale hai, International Yoga Day ke mauke par. Rail ministry ne ye bada kaam usse pehle kar diya hai. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw ne social media par yeh khabar di, USBRL project ka kaafi kaam ho chuka hai, bas Tunnel No. 1 ka thoda sa kaam baki hai. Yeh project important hai kyunki isme Chenab Rail Bridge hai, jo duniya ka sabse uncha railway bridge hai. 1.3 km lamba steel arch bridge June 30th tak chalne lagega, electric engine test hone ke baad. Yeh project saal ke end tak pura ho jaayega, BJP minister Jitendra Singh ne bataya ki jaldi hi bridge par rail service start ho jaayegi.
