He fell into the gap between the train and the platform and was dragged along by the moving train. Despite efforts by onlookers and station staff, Lokendra succumbed to his injuries at the hospital. Lokendra had planned to take his MP PSC exam on June 23rd and had chosen his hometown of Panna as the exam center. He had arrived at Indore station to board the Howrah Express on the night of June 18th. Police reported that he had no reservation and was attempting to board the general compartment. The incident highlights a dangerous gap between the platform and the tracks at Platform 4, which has been the site of numerous accidents, leading to over 90 deaths in the past 10 years. The railway authorities have been notified of the hazard and have received multiple requests for a solution, including investigations by engineers, but no permanent solution has been implemented.

Station staff ko jaankari mili to train rukwai gayi aur ghayal student ko hospital laya gaya. Us din raat mein, andaruni chot lagne se, uski maut ho gayi. Agar yeh haadsa nahi hota to Lokendra 23 June ko apna exam de raha hota. Lokendra ka naam Lokendra Kumar (26) tha, uska pita Vijay Pathk hai, woh Sandedi gram, District Panna ka rehnewala hai. Woh Khandwa Road pe rehta tha. Woh MP PSC ki taiyaari kar raha tha. Uska 23 June ko exam tha, isliye usne apne ghar ke pass Panna ko exam center chuna tha. 18 June ki raat, woh Hawada Express train pakadne ke liye, Indore Station gaya tha. Head Constable Anil Jaiswal ne bataya ki bahut se log general coach mein seat rokne ke liye, train rukne se pehle hi chadhne lagte hain. Lokendra ne bhi yahi kiya. Jahan se woh chadhne ka prayas kar raha tha, wahan platform aur patari ke beech ek curve hai aur bahut bada gap bhi hai. Haddabad mein Lokendra ka pair phisla, jisse woh gap mein ghus gaya. Issi wajah se uske haath pipe se phisla aur woh gir gaya. Chunki train slow chal hi rahi thi, isliye woh train aur platform ke beech mein kuchal gaya. GRP ke anusaar, 10 saal mein, is gap aur jaldbazi mein chadhne-utarne mein, 90 se zyada maut ho chuki hain. Yeh curve khatam karne ke liye, bahut baar DRM se lekar aala afsaron ko patra likhe gaye. Engineers se jaanch bhi karwai, par koi hal nahi nikla. Platform Number-1 aur 4 pe curve ki wajah se bada gap hai.
