Pradesh railway stations and the Mahakaleshwar temple in Ujjain, were attributed to Mohammad Salim Ansari, claiming to be the Jammu and Kashmir area commander of Jaish-e-Mohammad. The letter threatening the attacks mentioned taking revenge for the deaths of jihadists. The Barmer railway station has increased security with GRP police checking passengers, luggage, and the station premises.
