Key decisions included: completing the doubling of the rail line from Singrauli to Ramna by March 2024, extending the Chopan-Ranchi railway train to Singrauli/Shaktinagar, completing the construction of an underbridge (LHS) near Mirchadhuri railway station in the next financial year, and increasing the length of the foot overbridge at Shaktinagar railway station by 60 meters. A proposal to run a train from Jamshedpur-Ranchi via Renukut-Chopan-Lucknow to Ayodhya was also made, and the railway board assured it would be forwarded. Construction of a washing line/pit line at Chopan railway station is complete, and the inauguration and construction of a sick line were approved to begin soon. The zonal railway has sent a proposal to the Railway Board, Ministry of Railways, to extend the Singrauli-Nizamuddin and Singrauli-Bhopal express trains to Chopan. The demand for the early operation of the Chunar-Barwadih passenger was also raised. The meeting was attended by Anil Kumar Khandelwal, General Manager of East Central Railway, Kamal Kishore Sinha, Divisional Railway Manager of Dhanbad Railway Division, department heads of the zonal railway, and MPs' representatives from other states.
