They further requested that the Dehri Intercity Express departing Dhanbad at 6 am should instead depart from Asansol, providing better connectivity for passengers from Asansol, Kulti, Kumardubi, Thaparnagar, and Chhotambona traveling to Giridih, Hazaribagh, Koderma, Gaya, Aurangabad, Jahanabad, Patna, Uttar Pradesh, and Ballia. When the train reached Kumardubi around 2:50 am, Arun attempted to switch to a less crowded compartment. He first helped his wife board and then tried to climb in with the baby in his arms. However, the train started moving, causing him to lose his balance and fall. As he realized he was falling, he threw the baby to the platform, where it was caught by other passengers. Arun himself fell onto the tracks and was hit by the train. Railway Protection Force (RPF) and Government Railway Police (GRP) personnel who were on the platform stopped the train, and Arun was pulled out, but he had already died. The GRP helped his wife and child disembark and identified Arun. His wife was distraught and cried out loud upon seeing his body. The GRP sent her and the child back to Dhanbad. After a post-mortem, Arun's body was handed over to his family, who performed his last rites in the evening. The platforms at Kumardubi are unsafe, with a significant gap between the train and the platform, leading to frequent incidents of people falling. Residents have repeatedly complained to the railway management and requested that the gap be reduced for safety, but their pleas have been ignored. Arun's death is considered a consequence of this negligence.

bete ke mundan ceremony mein shamil hone ke liye Ravivaar ki raat Dhanbad station par train mein chadha tha. Train bahut crowded thi, aur unka family ek general compartment mein tha. Jab train Kumardubi pahuchi, toh Arun ek kam crowded compartment mein jaane ki koshish ki. Pehle unhone apni biwi ko compartment mein chadha diya aur phir baby ko god mein liye khud compartment mein chadhne ki koshish ki. Lekin train chalu ho gayi, aur Arun unbalanced ho gaya aur gir gaya. Jab unko samjha ki woh gir rahe hain, toh unhone baby ko platform par phenk diya, jahan dusre passengers ne use pakad liya. Arun khud platform ke niche gir gaya aur train ke peheyon se takraye. Platform par maujud RPF aur GRP personnel ne train rok di, aur Arun ko bahar nikala gaya, par unki maut ho chuki thi. GRP ne unki biwi aur bacche ko compartment se bahar nikala aur Arun ki pehchan karwayi. Unki biwi bahut dukhi thi aur Arun ka body dekh kar loudly rone lagi. GRP ne unhe aur bacche ko Dhanbad vapas bhej diya. Postmortem karne ke baad, Arun ka body unke family ko soump diya gaya, jinhone unka last rites shaam mein perform kiya. Kumardubi ke platforms unsafe hain, aur train aur platform ke beech bahut jagah khali rehti hai, jisse log aksar girte rehte hain. Residents ne railway management se bar bar complaint ki hai aur gap ko kam karne ki request ki hai, par unki requests ko ignore kiya gaya hai. Arun ki maut is negligence ka nateeja hai.

Kumaradubi bazaar aur aas-paas ke villages ke liye ek important link hai. Local logon ne is problem ke baare mein complain ki hai aur kaha hai ki agar time pe drain saaf nahin kiya gaya toh heavy rains mein bahut danger ho sakta hai. Is situation se saaf pata chal raha hai ki drain ko saaf karna aur uski maintenance karna bahut important hai, taki flood na aaye aur commuters safely jaa sake.
