13007/13008 हावड़ा-श्रीगंगानगर तूफान एक्सप्रेस को अभी रेलवे बोर्ड द्वारा बंद नहीं किया गया है केवल इसके संचालन को स्थगित किया गया है। तूफान एक्सप्रेस को बहाल कराने की श्रीगंगानगर सांसद जी ने कोशिश तेज कर दि है तूफान एक्सप्रेस को सुपरफास्ट का दर्जा दिलवाकर हावड़ा से श्रीगंगानगर वाया रोहतक-जाखल-बठिंडा रूट पर कुल 25 ठहराव के साथ शुरु करने का प्रस्ताव रेलवे को भेजा गया है।

13007/08 हावड़ा-श्रीगंगानगर उद्दान आभा तुफान एक्सप्रेस के बंद होने के बाद श्रीगंगानगर, बठिंडा, जाखल, नरवाना, जींद, रोहतक से हावड़ा का रेल सम्पर्क दोबारा जोड़ने के लिए 12303/12381/12304/12382 पूर्वा एक्सप्रेस को श्रीगंगानगर तक विस्तार करना चाहिए। इस के लिए एक प्रस्ताव बना कर रेलवे को भेजा है। पूर्वा एक्सप्रेस उद्दान आभा तुफान एक्सप्रेस का सही विकल्प है। इससे राजस्थान, पंजाब, हरियाणा, बिहार, उतरप्रदेश के लोगों को लाभ होगा। इससे श्रीगंगानगर से हावड़ा की दैनिक रेल सेवा उपलब्ध हो जाएगी।
