The Automatic Block System features signals placed every kilometer, allowing trains to travel closer to each other. This improved efficiency will enhance train speed and frequency by enabling continuous movement and providing real-time train location updates.

ke CPRO Saraswati Chandra ne di. Unhone bataya ki pehle Absolute Block System (parampraगत) chal raha tha, jisme ek block section mein train ke agle station pe pahunchne ke baad hi peeche wali train ko aage badhne ke liye green signal milta tha, jis se khali rail line ki capacity ka pura use nahin ho pata tha. Automatic Block Signaling System mein do stations ke beech har ek kilometer ki doori pe signal lagaye jaate hain. Signal ke sahare trains ek-dusre ke peeche chalti rahengi. Agar aage wale signal mein technical khami aati hai toh peeche chal rahi trains ko bhi soochna mil jaayegi. Jo train jahaan rahegi, waheen ruk jaayegi. CPRO ne bataya ki Automatic Block Signaling System laagu hone se ek hi route pe har ek kilometer ke antar pe ek ke peeche ek train chal sakegi. Isse rail line pe trains ki raftar ke saath hi sankhya bhi badh sakegi. Station yard se train ke aage badhte hi green signal mil jaayega. Saath hi trains ke location ki information milti rahegi.

km stretch of the Grand Chord line spanning across Bihar, Jharkhand, and Uttar Pradesh. Out of the total 412 km, 231 km of fencing has been completed along the track between Pradhankhunta and Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Junction, passing through Dhanbad, NSCB Junction Gomoh, Koderma, Gaya, and Son Nagar. In the Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Division, 110 km of fencing is completed using pre-fabricated cemented slabs, while the remaining 90 km will be completed using crash barriers. Similarly, in the Dhanbad Division, 121 km of the 175 km Grand Chord line has been fenced with pre-fabricated cemented slabs, excluding a 25 km Ghat section. The remaining 29 km will be completed using crash barriers by August 2024. This track fencing project will improve train traffic, ensure on-time train operations, and facilitate the operation of additional trains. It will also prevent unauthorized access to the railway tracks, ensuring the safety of passengers and preventing accidents.

Jharkhand aur Uttar Pradesh mein fence kar raha hai. Isme se 231 km ka kaam Pradhankhunta se Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Junction tak, Dhanbad, NSCB Junction Gomoh, Koderma, Gaya, aur Son Nagar se hota hua, poora ho chuka hai. Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Division mein, 110 km fencing pre-fabricated cemented slabs se ki gayi hai, aur baki 90 km crash barriers se ki jaayegi. Issi tarah, Dhanbad Division mein, 175 km Grand Chord line mein se 121 km fencing pre-fabricated cemented slabs se ki gayi hai, 25 km Ghat section ko chodkar. Baki 29 km crash barriers se August 2024 tak poora kar liya jaayega. Track fencing se train ka traffic improve hoga, train on-time chaliengi, aur aur train chalane mein bhi madad milegi. Isse railway track par unauthorized access bhi band ho jaayega, aur passengers ki safety aur accident se bachne mein madad milegi.

•OMS Trial done at 150Kmph over CRJ (excl.) - JAJ (excl.) section, at 120Kmph over Deoghar-Banka section.

∆2. SEALDAH division
•Over Shantipur-Krishnanagar Single line, train services should run only during day time at 30KMPH strictly due to unmanned L/C (CHC/SDAH)
•Baruipur-Diamond Harbour to 100KMPH
(as per Sr.DOM circular dt.27.04.2022)
•Sealdah-Naihati (Up/Dn Suburban) & Naihati-Krishnanagar from 95KMPH to 100KMPH , Krishnanagar-Lalgola to 110KMPH (excluding Sealdah-Naihati Up/Dn Mainline, which is still at 90KMPH)
•Baruipur - Namkhana, Majerhat - Budge Budge to 100KMPH (as per WTT Oct 2022)
•Dumdum-Bongaon & Barasat-Hasnabad from 90KMPH to 100KMPH (as per T/409)
•OMS Trial run completed at 130Kmph over NH-LGL section, at 120Kmph over SDAH-KNJ section & at 120Kmph over BLN-BRP section.

•Sectional speed of Arambagh-Goghat is lowered to 60 Kmph as per T/409 issued in Sept '21.
•Bandel-Azimganj cabin raised to 110kmph (as per Dy. PCE dt.29.12.2022)
•Bandel-Saktigarh from 100Kmph to 110Kmph
•Azimganj Cabin-Nalhati UP LINE sectional speed raised from 60Kmph to 80Kmph/100Kmph (as per AOM/Chg dated 03.01.2022)
•Khana-Bonidanga from 105Kmph to 110Kmph
•Sikaripara-Dumka from 50Kmph to 70Kmph
•Work in progress: Howrah-Bandel-Barddhaman targetted for 130Kmph after OHE modification works, Khana-Bonidanga targetted for 130Kmph

∆4. MALDA division
•Malda Town-Kiul (excl.) & New Farakka-Azimganj cabin (excl.) raised to 110Kmph
•Bhagalpur-Mandarhill raised to 110Kmph
•Mandarhill-Dumka raised to 100Kmph

•Automatic signal sections are also attached.
i) Auto signal is extended from Ichhapur to Kalyani (Up Home) & Shyamnagar station converted from Block station to Flag station.
ii) Auto signal has been extended from Belmuri to Cheragram BH (Up starter) (as on June 2021)

• Train Management System (TMS) is started on experimental basis over HWH-BDC & SHE-AMBG section of Howrah division
