The incident occurred despite the DRM (Divisional Railway Manager) inspecting the bridge on August 22nd and declaring it to be in good condition. This has raised questions about the effectiveness of the inspection. The bridge was built at a cost of 2.5 crores and has already incurred maintenance expenses of 3.5 crores in just three years. The bridge has been a subject of controversy since its construction, with the CRS (Commissioner of Railway Safety) raising concerns about the quality of work. The bridge had been permitted to operate trains at a speed of 20 km/h and required 24-hour monitoring. The entire project, encompassing the Chhindwara-Sivni-Nanpur-Mandla Fort railway line and the Chhindwara-Itwari line, cost a combined 2700 crores and was completed after seven years of construction. Although train services are available, they are frequently canceled, causing inconvenience to passengers.

12.अंबिकापुर निजामुद्दीन एक्सप्रेस ट्रेन में सिर्फ 4 जनरल कोच जोड़ने से कुछ नहीं होगा इस ट्रेन में 7 स्लीपर कोच जोड़ना चाहिए तथा 4 जनरल कोच तो जुड़ ही रहा है इसलिए रेलवे प्रशासन और भारत सरकार को इस पर ध्यान देना चाहिए और इस ट्रेन को हफ्ते में काम से कम 3 दिन दौड़ना चाहिए हफ्ते में एक दिन चलाने से कुछ नहीं होता है और इस ट्रेन को कोतमा रेलवे स्टेशन पर स्टॉपेज देना चाहिए यह काम जल्दी से जल्दी हो जाना चाहिए
13.मंडला फोर्ट से डिंडोरी होते हुए अनूपपुर तक एक नई रेल लाइन बिछाई जाए
14. अंबिकापुर से बरवाडीह तक नई रेलवे लाइन तथा अंबिकापुर कोरबा रेलवे लाइन और अंबिकापुर रेणुकूट रेलवे लाइन बिछाई जाए जिससे छत्तीसगढ़ और दक्षिण पूर्व विंध्य क्षेत्र के लोगों को मदद होगी सहूलियत होगी और यात्रा जल्दी और सुगम होगी और अगर सारे मांग पूर्ण नहीं हो पाते हैं तो कम से कम क्रमांक 1,3,7,8,9,10,12,14 को पूरा किया जाए 🙏🙏🥺👍

However, with the recent introduction of sleeper coaches in Vande Bharat trains, there is renewed interest in running this service. Organizations and representatives from Jabalpur are now urging the railway authorities to introduce a direct train to Raipur. While a new Vande Bharat train route is being explored, the proposal to introduce a Vande Bharat train with sleeper coaches on the Jabalpur-Balaghat-Raipur route has not been approved due to the single-track nature of the route. Efforts are underway to double the track. Currently, there are no direct trains from Jabalpur to Raipur, and the Amarakantek Express, which travels through Jabalpur to Raipur, is often fully booked, with waiting lists even for tickets reserved four months in advance. The senior divisional commercial manager (DCM) of the Jabalpur railway division clarified that the proposal to introduce a Vande Bharat train on the Jabalpur-Raipur route has been forwarded to the railway board for consideration, and a decision will be taken after analyzing all aspects. The chief public relations officer (CPRO) of the West Central Railway, stated that the decision to introduce a Vande Bharat train is taken by the railway board and the Prime Minister's Office. The former Zonal User Railway Consultative Committee (ZURCC) member, Dr. Sunil Mishra, expressed disappointment about the lack of effort from the division and zone to introduce a Vande Bharat train on the Jabalpur-Balaghat-Raipur route, highlighting the need for a direct and convenient train service between the two cities.
