मुंबई: मुख्यमंत्री पृथ्वीराज चव्हाण यांनी देशातील पहिल्या मोनोरेलला काल हिरवा कंदील दाखवल्यानंतर आत ती प्रत्यक्षात मुंबईकरांच्या सेवेत दाखल झाली आहे. मात्र मोनोच्या पहिल्या प्रवासासाठी स्टेशनबाहेर तुफान गर्दी झाली आहे. त्यामुळे सकाळी सात वाजता सुरु होणारी पहिली फेरी गर्दीमुळे उशिरा सुरु झाली आहे.
हिल्या टप्प्यात वडाळा ते चेंबूर दरम्यान ही मोनोरेल धावणार आहे. जवळपास 9 किलोमीटरचा हा टप्पा आहे. सध्या मोनोरेल सकाळी 7 ते दुपारी 3 पर्यंतच धावणार आहे.
