Details about Itarsi - Nagpur 3rd line

The capacity of Itarsi - Nagpur section is restricted to 52 trains/day only because of ghat section. The line capacity utilization for 2013/14 was 162.9 % in Amla - Itarsi section and 133% in Nagpur - Amla section. After construction of 3rd line, it will be possible to run additional mail/express and goods trains in the Itarsi - Nagpur section. It will also be helpful for smooth and speedy movement of trains. ...
