Overview:
· The 6th line will be laid east of the existing tracks from Goregaon to Malad (S) and from Malad (N) to Kandivali.
· At Malad station (MDD), due to space constraints, the 6th line will be laid on the west side, necessitating the shift of all five existing lines to the west through cut and connection.

All 5 cut connection blocks will operate on weekends on Saturday/Sunday.

Mega Block Schedule:
1. First Mega Block:
· Date: 31/01-09-2024
· Duration: 10 hours
· Impact: 150 suburban cancellations, 60 short terminations, 50-60 delays.

2. Second Mega Block:
· Date: 07/08-09-2024
· Duration: 10 hours
· Impact: 150 suburban cancellations, 60 short terminations, 50-60 delays

· Improved punctuality for trains originating and terminating at BDTS.
· Enhanced suburban train punctuality.
