153 km long Degana-Ratangarh railway section will be electrified, and electric trains will start running on this route from September 15. The first electric train to run on this section will be the Bandra-Jammu Tawi Vivek Express.

This will be the second electric train route in the Jodhpur division of North Western Railway. The electrification of the 153 km section between Degana and Ratangarh will enable electric trains to run between Jodhpur and Delhi via this route.

The first electric goods train was successfully run on this section on September 8. This achievement marks a significant milestone for the Jodhpur division, as it paves the way for running electric passenger trains on this route in the future.

The electrification of this section will not only reduce the railway's dependence on diesel but also improve the speed and efficiency of trains, benefiting passengers and the environment.
