75% of their agricultural land lies south of the railway track and the fencing would affect their farming and the movement of people from dozens of villages. They also submitted a memorandum to Union Minister and MP Annpurna Devi requesting an underpass. The Minister assured them that fencing would only be done after providing necessary facilities for the villagers.
