रेलवे प्रशासन द्वारा आगामी त्यौहारों के मौसम में यात्रियों की होने वाली अतिरिक्त भीड़ को ध्यान में रखते हुए भीड़ को कम करने के लिए यात्रियों की मांग पर लखनऊ–छपरा के मध्य एक जोड़ी वन्देभारत स्पेशल एक्सप्रेस वाया वाराणसी, सुरेमनपुर, बलिया एवं गाजीपुर सिटी चलाने का निर्णय लिया गया है। आरक्षित वन्देभारत स्पेशल एक्सप्रेस गाड़ी का संचलन लखनऊ तथा छपरा से 25 अक्टूबर से 08 नवम्बर 2024 तक 13 फेरों के लिये किया जायेगा।

संपर्क अधिकारी, वाराणसी अशोक कुमार ने बताया कि गाड़ी सं-02270 लखनऊ-छपरा वन्देभारत स्पेशल एक्सप्रेस गाड़ी 25, 26, 27, 28, 30, 31 अक्टूबर 01, 02, 03, 04, 06, 07, 08 नवम्बर,2024 तक लखनऊ से 14:15 बजे, प्रस्थान कर सुल्तानपुर से 16:05/16:07 बजे,वाराणसी जं से 18:20/18:25 बजे,गाजीपुर सिटी से 19:33/19:35 बजे,बलिया से 20:23/20:25 बजे,सुरेमनपुर से 20:55/20:57 बजे छपरा 21:30 बजे पहुँचेगी।

वापसी यात्रा में गाड़ी सं-02269 छपरा–लखनऊ वन्देभारत स्पेशल एक्सप्रेस 25, 26, 27, 28, 30, 31 अक्टूबर एवं 01, 02, 03, 04, 06, 07, 08 नवम्बर,2024 तक छपरा से 23:00 बजे प्रस्थान कर सुरेमनपुर से 23:35/23:37 बजे दूसरे दिन बलिया से 00:05/00:07 बजे,गाजीपुर सिटी से 00:59/01:01 बजे,वाराणसी जं 02:30/02:35 बजे सुल्तानपुर से 04:48/04:50 बजे छूटकर 06:30 बजे लखनऊ पहुँचेगी।
इस आरक्षित गाड़ी की संरचना में 08 कोच की वन्देभारत रेक होगी।
