Loco:AJJ WAP-4
DOJ:16-03-2019

The train was scheduled to depart from KSR Bengaluru at 7:20 am. A big task awaited us , BOOKING A TAXI at 5.30 in the morning !! A tensed atmosphere settled as we anxiously willed the driver to reach quickly ! He thankfully reached at 5.50 ! We piled in the car and reached KSR Bengaluru [ Majestic ] Rly Stn. at 6.45 . Now , our train was supposed to arrive at 6.55 and I was getting nervous if I would get to spot the locomotive as our coach [ B-2 ] was supposed to be at the rear [ i.e. no chance of locomotive spotting once train departed ] ! My "FEARS" , however were proved to be unwarranted as when we came to platform no. 7 at 7 am , there was no sign of the train ! The train , hauled by a WAP-4 from ARAKKONAM ELS sedately arrived 10 mins late at 7.05 am. We quickly found our coach and to my SHOCK the SIDE LOWER I had booked SPECIFICALLY for myself , was occupied by used linen ! 😐 Then , I figured out as our SLB was on the LAST bay of the coach [ berth no. 63 ] the attendants had used it to store the blankets temporarily ! A quick glance at the neighbouring bay revealed that it was unpopulated. We rapidly shifted to that bay . The TTE too had NO PROBLEMS as that bay was destined to run empty till Mysuru. We departed around 7.25am [ 5 mins late ],we changed tracks & picked up a sedate pace of ~40 KMPH and skipped Jnana Bharati Station . Then , the WAP-4 lazily trudged into our 1st halt - NAYANDAHALLI . Departed Nayandahalli ~10 mins late and maintaining the delay , arrived into the next halt , KENGERI ! Till now , the loco pilots had touched a top speed of just 60KMPH ! Then , post departure from KGI , the loco pilots went into BEAST MODE and started blasting at 90 + KMPH !!! Hejjala was THRASHED at 90 !! Post Hejjala , we started slowing down and rolled into BIDADI , our next halt ! The sedate arrivals into RAMANAGARA and CHANNAPATNA were again,10 mins late ! Soon, the beast took over and the P4 started showing its raging form ! Wayside small stations were stormed 💥 ! After some uneventful minutes, we arrived Pandavapura 20 mins late ! We arrived at the beautiful SRIRANGAPATNA station 10 mins later! Then, after departure from Srirangapatna , P4 went savage and started blasting at 100 + KMPH to make up for the lost time [~20 mins ] !! The delay was successfully covered and I thought we would make a 10 min EARLY arrival into Mysuru , but that was not to be !!! We were halted at outer for a good 15 mins and arrived Mysuru about 10 mins late !

PS:Thanks for reading!

Unfortunately;I didn't take any pics/videos that time except for one of the Pandavapura Station.
Attaching that here :)
