January. During that visit, several new train services were announced, including the Janhit to Patna, the Janseva to Amritsar, the Janaki Express to Jaynagar, and the Kosi Express to Hatia. Additionally, five pairs of passenger trains operate from Purnia Court, serving Saharsa and Bihariganj. The station generates over 3 lakh rupees in daily revenue. To address the increased passenger volume, the station requires additional railway tracks, a washing pit, improved waiting areas, more ticket counters, and better drinking water and toilet facilities. A proposal to include the station in the 'Amrit Bharat Station' scheme will be submitted, aiming to upgrade infrastructure and improve amenities.
