On July 30th, a train accident occurred between Barabambo and Rajkharsawan railway stations in the Chakradharpur Railway Division. The Commissioner of Railway Safety (CRS) Brijesh Kumar Mishra continued his investigation on Saturday, interviewing railway staff involved in the incident. This is the third day of the investigation.

that the Station Master, Jayaram Mardi, was on duty and received information about the collision. He immediately notified the relevant departments and recorded the incident in the station diary. Rescue operations were initiated, and two passengers were confirmed dead, while others were injured. The injured were taken to the Chakradharpur Railway Hospital, and the bodies were also sent to the same hospital. The Station Manager requested a proper investigation into the matter.

The 18011/18012 Howrah-Chakradharpur-Howrah Express has been short-terminated at Adra, and the 18109/18110 Tatanagar-NSCB Itwari-Tatanagar Express has been short-terminated at Bilaspur. These trains are canceled between Adra and Chakradharpur and Bilaspur and Tatanagar. The 12949 Porbandar-Santragachi Express, which departed on August 2nd, will travel via Rourkela-Nuagaon-Ranchi-Kotshila-Bokaro Steel City-Bhojudih-Adra instead of Chakradharpur. The 12152 Shalimar-LTT Mumbai Express will also follow an altered route via Adra-Bhojudih-Bokaro Steel City-Kotshila-Ranchi-Nuagaon-Rourkela.
