The ROB, a two-lane structure, is being built in the yard of Fatehpur Railway Station. The tender for the railway's portion of the project, worth ₹15.86 crore, was released online in April and closed on May 14th. The ROB is to be constructed in an arch shape on the railway side. Rational Construction firm from Prayagraj submitted the tender. Only one tender was received for the ROB. The firm's director, AK Pathak, stated that a new rule regarding audited balance sheets was issued during tender allocation, requiring applicants to provide a written notice if they haven't submitted the audited balance sheet for the financial year 2023-24. However, this is not mentioned in the general conditions of the Railway Board's contract or in Form Six. He argues that in the absence of the previous financial year's balance sheet, the balance sheets of the past four years are submitted, but the Prayagraj division has created its own rules. The complainant alleges that the Prayagraj division's tender committee is adamant about not considering the balance sheet of the previous four years, which could benefit other bidders. The PRO of Prayagraj division, Amit Singh, acknowledged the matter. He stated that the tender committee, responsible for determining the tender, is working transparently.

The incident occurred on Sunday evening around 8:15 PM between Fatehpur and Khaga stations. A YouTuber was filming a video inside the train when a teenager on a passing Intercity train threw a plastic bottle at the Vande Bharat. The RPF team is identifying the teenager from the video and questioning him. This is not the first case of stones, bricks, or bottles being thrown at this train. The RPF Post In-charge, Shiv Kumar Singh, confirmed that the video has been found and is being investigated.
