Police arrived at the scene after receiving information, conducted a panchnama, and sent the body to RIMS for postmortem. They are currently investigating the incident. Kesari is survived by his wife, a daughter, and a son. He was known to be mild-mannered and supplied pan masala to shops in the area. The reason behind his suicide remains unknown.

saamne Sanjay Kesari kud gaya. Train ki chapet mein aane se uska sir aur paer kat gaya aur wahi pe uska maut ho gaya. Shaam mein 5:30 baje jab train Piska station pahuchi tabhi Sanjay thodi dur pe railway line ke paas khada tha. Information milne pe, Nagri thane ki police mauke pe pahuchi aur shav ka panchnama karke RIMS bhej diya. Wahi maamle ki jaanch karne mein jut gayi hai. Ghar mein uski patni, ek putri aur ek putra ro-rokar bura haal hai. Sanjay Kesari bahut hi mridubhashi tha, usne aatmahatya kyun ki, iska pata nahi chal saka. Woh Nagri ke Kesari muhalle mein rehta tha, uski Nagri purana bazaar tand mein ek kirana ki dukaan hai aur woh ghum-ghumkar dukaanon mein pan masala ki supply karta tha.

The project involves acquiring 48.638 acres of land belonging to 109 individuals in the Tikra Toli and Kudulum mouzas of the Nagdi Anchal. The 17 km link line is expected to be completed in three years, costing ₹472 crore.
