Witnessing the incident, Pritam (30), a crane operator traveling from Chennai to Mahendragarh, was distressed by the lack of response to the situation. He attempted to notify the station master but the GT Express departed unexpectedly. He tried to board the moving train but fell, resulting in his death. Pritam, a newlywed with a three-month-old daughter, was traveling home on the GT Express.

almost 1 ghante tak track pe pada raha jab tak GT Express nahi aayi. Ye dekh kar Pritam (30), ek crane operator jo Chennai se Mahendragarh ja raha tha, bahut dukhi hua ki station master ko is baare mein kaun inform karega. Wo train se utar kar station master se baat karne gaya, but GT Express suddenly chal padi. Wo running train mein chadne ki koshish ki, lekin uske pair phisal gaye aur wo gir kar mar gaya. Pritam ki shaadi 1.5 saal pehle hui thi aur unki 3 mahine ki ek beti bhi hai. Wo GT Express se ghar ja raha tha.

Rajya Rani Express can be extended from Damoh upto Singrauli via Katni as an overnight daily train to Bhopal. Now there is no daily express train from Singrauli to Bhopal except the bi weekly Superfast express train
