However, the up line remained affected due to the elephant herd's presence near the tracks. The incident occurred outside the designated elephant zone, despite a 20 km stretch with a 25 kmph speed limit for trains to prevent such accidents.

Elephant calf apne herd se bhatak gaya tha aur tracks pe aa gaya tha jahan yeh accident hua. Dhanbad division, East Central Railways (ECR) ke down line pe yeh accident hua. 7:45 baje calf ka carcass tracks se hataya gaya, jisne down line mein rail traffic ko fir se start kar diya. Lekin, up line par abhi bhi problem thi kyunki elephant herd tracks ke paas ghoom rahe the. Yeh accident designated elephant zone ke bahar hua, 25 kmph speed limit wala 20 km stretch hone ke bawjood, jiska maksad aise accidents se bachna hai.
