He applied emergency brakes, stopping the train just before the stones hit the engine. In Mirzapur, a fire extinguisher was found on the down line near Jivnathpur station. The guard of a passing goods train informed the station master, who alerted the driver of a goods train approaching from Prayagraj. The driver applied emergency brakes and stopped the train 200 meters before the obstruction. In Mahoba, a concrete sleeper was placed on the track, and a passenger train driver spotted it and applied emergency brakes. Police have filed an FIR and detained a 16-year-old boy in connection with the incident.
