Howrah Steel Express, Howrah Bardbil Janshatabdi Express, and Howrah Ranchi Intercity Express, were operational on the Tata-Kharagpur route. Other trains were either diverted or canceled. The disruption caused frustration for commuters traveling towards Jamshedpur, who were forced to return from Ghatshila station or resort to private vehicles. Railway officials anticipate train operations to resume within a day or two, pending track repairs at the accident site. Despite initial hopes for at least partial resumption of services, passengers at various stations, including Ghatshila, Galudih, Dhalbhumgarh, Rakha Mines, and Chakulia, were disappointed to learn of the continued disruption. Daily laborers, who rely on the train service for commuting between these towns and Tata, Adityapur, Gamharia, and other locations, were particularly affected. They were either forced to utilize private transportation or return home due to the lack of public transport.

Yeh faatak Jadugoda mukhya shahar se lag bhag das gaon ko jodti hai, rozana yahaan hazaar logon ka aavagaman lage rahta hai. Jin gaon ko jodti hai unme pramukh roop se hai Rakha Mines, Duruku, Kuldiha, Bhurakadih, Asanbani, Tilmuda, Chotaro, Birgaon, sahit anya gaon hain. Is faatak ke karan hi gaon ka vikas ke kaam mein bhi kaafi pareshani hoti hai. Duruku ke gram pradhan Tapan Bhakat ne bataya ki flyover ka kaam kaafi dhimi गति se ho raha hai. Gramino ko kaafi pareshani ho rahi hai. Rail mantrilay ko is par dhyan dekar jaldi over bridge chaloo karwana chahiye.
