A memorandum was submitted to the General Manager by BJP members concerning some important problems under the Cini railway area. A delegation led by Cini Panchayat Mukhia, Javintri Murmu, Gram Pradhan Manoj Sharma, and Murli Pradhan met with the General Manager. They demanded the completion of the construction work of the Cini railway market main road by Durga Puja, repair of all roads in the railway area, and the appointment of a Deputy Chief in the Cini Engineering Railway Workshop. It was pointed out that despite the existence of the post of Deputy Chief in the railway workshop, all work is being carried out from Kolkata Garden Reach, causing inconvenience to the employees. The demand for the posting of a Deputy Chief Engineer in the workshop was made. They also demanded the resumption of the stoppage of Howrah Samaleshwari Express at Cini, which was closed during the COVID-19 pandemic. Along with this, they demanded a stoppage of the Visakhapatnam Weekly Train at Cini, and for the Tata Ranchi Memo train to be run via Cini. The GM gave a positive assurance on all the demands. Divisional Railway Manager A.J. Rathod and other senior officials were present on the occasion.
