a driver fails to control speed or apply brakes, the Kavach system automatically controls the train using the brake interface unit. It establishes reliable wireless communication across the entire section and includes devices installed at all stations and engines. The system uses radio frequency tags to transmit track and signal information to the engine. The engine device then uses this information to safely operate the train according to the instructions from the station's interlocking system, signals, and level crossing. The South East Central Railway's Nagpur-Jharsuguda section is earmarked for the Kavach project, with a proposal sent to the Railway Board for approval. After approval, installation of the Kavach safety technology will start on the Nagpur-Raipur-Bilaspur-Jharsuguda section. The system is designed to improve safety and efficiency, especially in foggy or rainy conditions, as it displays line-side signal aspects in the driver's cabin and automatically applies brakes if the driver fails to do so. Kavach works on the principle of continuous updates of operational authority, preventing collisions through communication within the locomotive. The system also features an automatic horn and can activate other trains in case of an emergency, ensuring immediate halting of trains in the vicinity. The technology was successfully tested in March 2022 on the Lingampalli-Vikarabad section between Gullaguda and Chitgidda stations on the Secunderabad division of the South Central Railway.

Ye pura section mein reliable wireless communication establish karta hai aur sabhi stations aur engines mein devices lagaata hai. System radio frequency tags ka use karke track aur signal related information ko engine mein transmit karta hai. Engine device fir is information ka use karke station ke interlocking system, signals aur level crossing se instructions le kar, train ko safe speed se operate karta hai. South East Central Railway ka Nagpur-Jharsuguda section Kavach project ke liye chinit kiya gaya hai, jiske anumodan ke liye proposal Railway Board ko bheja gaya hai. Approval milne ke baad, Nagpur-Raipur-Bilaspur-Jharsuguda section mein Kavach suraksha technology install karne ka kaam shuru kiya jaega. System foggy ya rainy conditions mein bhi suraksha aur efficiency badhane ke liye banaya gaya hai, kyonki ye driver ke cabin mein line-side signal aspects ko dikhaata hai aur agar driver fail ho jata hai toh automatic brakes lagane ka kaam karta hai. Kavach continuous update of operational authority ke siddhant par kaam karta hai aur locomotive ke andar communication dwara collision se bachne mein madad karta hai. System mein automatic horn bhi hai aur emergency ke case mein dusri trains ko control karne ya saavdhan karne ke liye immediately active ho jata hai. Isse aas-paas ke area mein sabhi trains ka operation immediately ruk jata hai. Khas baat ye hai ki yeh technology desh mein taiyaar ki gayi hai. Rail mantri Ashwini Vaishnav ne March 2022 mein Kavach suraksha technology ka safal jeevant parikshan South Central Railway ke Secunderabad mandal mein Lingampalli-Vikarabad khand par Gullaguda-Chitgidda railway stations ke beech kiya tha.
